All on JE's money...be jealous!

Last Friday, I won a the JE Cultural Draw lottery and was able to go to New York, dine at a 5 star restaurant, and watch a Broadway show all on JE's money. We dined at Bond 45, where I had the fried calamari for appetizer and a lobster and seafood linguini for my main course. Then we saw the Broadway musical "Memphis". It was my first broadway musical and I was very much in awe. However, I think that the Lion King would have been more fun...but I'm not complaining

Yesterday night, I went to see Hot Tub Time Machine at the Criterion theater. JE student council paid for our ticket, a popcorn and a drink! Too bad the movie was really stupid...haha. I would have been super angry if I had paid for the ticket, but because it was free, I actually enjoyed this shallow movie fairly much.

Today, JE hosted a lecture with the 2009 Chemistry Nobel Laurette, Thomas Steiz, at the Yale Law School auditorium. I went to the event and even spoke with him afterward! While I did not comprehend most of the chemistry involved, I think few in the audience did. He did do a great job of imitating Crick and he had cool pictures and stories about his time in Stockholm receiving the Nobel Prize.
